  1. ARs. 200
  2. BRs. 2,200Correct
  3. CRs. 1,100
  4. DRs. 2,220

Answer: B. Rs. 2,200

Explanation

Let amount of the bill = Rs. 100x 35 I : Amount after discount of 35% = 100x − ( 100 × 100x) = 100x − 35x = 65x 20 II : Amount after first discount of 20% = 100x − ( 100 × 100x) = 100x − 20x = 80x 20 Amount after second discount of 20% = 80x − ( 100 × 80x) = 80x − 16x = 64x According to ques, => 65x − 64x = 22 => x = 22 ∴ Amount of the bill = 100 × 22 = Rs. 2200
