Given: T he smallest number which when divided by 6, 8 and 10 leaves remainders 4, 6 and 8, respectively Concept used: LCM is the smallest common multiple of two or more numbers. Calculation: LCM (6, 8, 10) = 120 T he smallest number divided by 6, 8, and 10 = 120 So we get, 6-4=2 8-6=2 10 - 8 = 2 Now, the required number = 120 - 2 = 118 ∴ 118 is the smallest number which when divided by 6, 8 and 10 leaves remainders 4, 6 and 8, respectively.
