  2. B₹ 500
  3. C₹ 2,000Correct
  4. D₹ 1,000

Answer: C. ₹ 2,000

Explanation

Given: A sum of money is to be distributed among A, B, C, D in the proportion of 5 : 2 : 4 : 3 Calculation: Let the shares of A, B, C, and D be Rs. 5x, Rs. 2x, Rs. 4x and Rs. 3x respectively. Now, 5x - 3x = 1000 ⇒ 2x = 1000 ⇒ x = 500 C's share = 4 × 500 ⇒ ₹ 2000 ∴ C's share is ₹ 2000.
