The core banking application of Chandrabhaga Urban Bank runs upon Linux servers, and every operator on the night shift works at a text console. An operator who has just signed on nds himself in his home directory and must reach the directory in which the end-of-day settlement scripts are kept, several levels below it, before he can run anything at all.
