The ratio of present age of A to that of B is 1 : 3. One year ago, the age of C was twice the age of A that time. If B is 21 years older than C, then find the ratio of present age of B to age of C after three years.

Explanation

Let present age of A = x So, present age of B = 3x Let present age of C = y ATQ y-1=2(x-1) y=2x-1 And, 3x-2x+1=21 x=20 So, 3x=60 y = 40 – 1= 39 Required ratio = 60 : (39+3) = 10 : 7
