Let quantity of mixture in each container i.e. A, B and C be 315 liter. Quantity of milk in container A = 2 5 × 315 = 126 liter Quantity of water in container A = 315 − 126 = 189 liter Quantity of milk in container B = 3 7 × 315 = 135 liter Quantity of water in container B = 315 − 135 = 180 liter Quantity of milk in container C = 4 9 × 315 = 140 liter Quantity of water in container C = 315 − 140 = 175 liter Quantity I: Concentration of water in container Y = 189+180+175 315×3 × 100 ≈ 57% Quantity 2: Concentration of water in container X = 25% So, quantity I > quantity II
