ibps-rrb-os1 2019 · Question 35 of 186
Quadratic Equations
I. 15x2 + 4x -35 = 0 Pairs = 25, -21 And now dividing by a and by changing the sign we get, x = -1.6, 1.4 II. 12y2 -7y -10 = 0 Pairs = -15, 8 And now dividing by a and by changing the sign we get, y = 1.25, -0.6 Hence, relationship cannot be established between x and y. Alternate Method: If sign in constant value is -ve in both the quadratic equation, then relationship cannot be established between two roots.
