IBPS PO 2020 · Question 89 of 99

Direction: The following pie chart given below is based on percentage of books sold by 5 different people A, B, C, D, and E on Monday. If the total number of books sold on Monday is 750, then answer the following questions based on the given pie chart. Pie chart percentages (as stated in the source's own answer explanations): A: 20%, B: 22%, C: 14%, D: 18%, E: 26%. Find the difference between the average number of books sold by B and E together and the average number of books sold by C and D together.

Data Interpretation (Pie Chart)

  1. A55
  2. B65
  3. C60Correct
  4. D40
  5. E45

Answer: C. 60

Explanation

Calculation: Average percentage of books sold by B and E together = (22 + 26)/2 = 24%. Average percentage of books sold by C and D together = (18 + 14)/2 = 16%. Percentage difference = 24 - 16 = 8%. Therefore, the required difference = 8% of 750 = 60.
