Allen Campbell Johnson termed Mahatma Gandhi's benefits as a 'consolation prize' in the Gandhi-Irwin Pact, a political agreement between Mahatma Gandhi and the then Viceroy Lord Irwin before the Second Round Table Conference in London on 5 March 1931, which came to be known as the Gandhi-Irwin Pact (Gandhi-Irwin Pact) is called.
