SSC GD Constable 2024 · Question 37 of 75

The difference between cost price and selling price is Rs. 264. If the profit percentage is 33 percent, then what is the selling price?

  1. ARs. 1064Correct
  2. BRs. 1526
  3. CRs. 1084
  4. DRs. 1024

Answer: A. Rs. 1064

Explanation

Let the cost price be Rs. 100. Profit = 33%, so selling price = Rs. 133. If the profit is Rs. 264, then for every Rs. 33 profit, the cost price is Rs. 100. Hence, for Rs. 264, the cost price = (264 ÷ 33) × 100 = Rs. 800. Selling price = Rs. 800 + Rs. 264 = Rs. 1064. Thus, the correct answer is Rs. 1064.
