Explanation

Given: Bike A moves at a speed of 30 km/h. Bike A covers some distance for 2 hours. Bike B moves at a speed of 35 km/h. Formula used: Speed = Distance / Time Calculation: Distance = Speed × Time ⇒ 30 × 2 = 60 km Time is taken by bike B to cover the distance. Time = Distance / Speed ⇒ 60 35 ​ = 12 hours 7 ​ The ratio of the time taken by bike A to that taken by bike B. ⇒2: 12 7 ​ ⇒ 14 : 12 ⇒7:6 (Multiply by 7 on both sides) ∴ T he ratio of the time taken by bike A to that taken by bike B is 7 : 6.
