SSC GD Constable 2021 · Question 329 of 377
time-speed-distance
Given: Excluding stoppages, the speed of a bus is 60 km/h. Including stoppages, it is 48 km/h. Formula used: Distance = Speed × Time Calculation: The average speed (including stoppages) = 48 km/h The average speed (excluding stoppages) = 60 km/h At this speed, time is taken by bus to travel 48 km = 48/60 ⇒ 4/5 hrs or 48 minutes So at a speed of 60 km/h, the bus can travel a distance of 48 km every 48 minutes. For every hr, the bus stops for = 60 - 48 ⇒ 12 minutes ∴ The bus stops per hour for 12 min.
