Given: Three numbers A, B and C are in the ratio 4 ∶ 5 ∶ 8, If each number is increased by 15%, 24% and 35%. Calculation: Let the numbers be 4p, 5p, and 8p respectively. Now, the new ratio of the numbers will be ⇒ 4p + 4p × 15% : 5p + 5p × 24% : 8p + 8p × 35% ⇒ 4p + 0.6p : 5p + 1.2p : 8p + 2.8p ⇒ 4.6p : 6.2p : 10.8p ⇒ 46 : 62 : 108 ⇒ 23 : 31 : 54 ∴ T he new ratio of the numbers will be 23 : 31 : 54.
