SSC GD Constable 2021 · Question 241 of 377
mensuration
Given: From a cuboid with sides 4cm, 5 cm and 6 cm, cubes of side 1 cm have been removed from every corner. Concept used: There are 8 corners of a cuboid. Volume of a cuboid = Length × Breadth × Height Volume of a cube = Side 3 Calculation: Volume of the cuboid = 4 × 5 × 6 = 120 cm 3 Volume of each cube = 1 3 = 1 cm 3 Total volume of 8 cubes that are cut from the corners = 8 × 1 = 8 cm 3 Volume of the remaining solid = 120 - 8 = 112 cm 3 ∴ The volume of the remaining solid is 112 cm 3.
