History
The Mughal Empire spanned the majority of the Indian subcontinent during Akbar’s reign, from the Himalayas in the north to the Vindhyas in the south, and from the Hindukush in the north-west to the Brahmaputra River in the east. During his reign, Kashmir, Sind, Baluchistan, Makran, and Kandahar (Hindukush region) all became a Mughal territory, stretching all the way up to the Persian empire under the Safavid rulers.
