SBI Junior Associate 2020 · Question 249 of 290

Direction: Study the given information carefully and answer the following questions: Six children were playing a game on the staircase of a building which had thirty steps numbered 1 to 30 from top to bottom in that order. Thus, the topmost step was numbered 1, the second step from the top was numbered 2, and so on. Out of the six children, Ellie, Raven, and Lynn were girls whereas Bryan, Eric, and George were boys. No two children were standing on the same step of the staircase initially. They were standing on the stairs numbered between 11 and 20. Each of them had some toffees in their respective bags. They had decided on the rules of their game in which they will change their positions based on the number of toffees they have. Children with an even number of letters in their names were standing on the odd-numbered steps of the staircase and children with an odd number of letters in their names were standing at the even-numbered steps. The numbers of toffees with the children were 50, 31, 35, 36, 30, and 57 but not necessarily in that order. The number of toffees with Ellie is an even number which is twice her stair number. Ellie and George were standing at a gap of 4 steps and the difference in the numbers of toffees with them is 1. The stair numbers of Bryan and Lynn are not prime numbers. The number of toffees with Lynn is a multiple of her stair number. Bryan is standing above George. The stair number of Eric is higher than the stair number of Raven by 5. Raven has less than 50 toffees. The second-highest number of toffees is that of Eric. The person who had the highest number of toffees moved to step 1 of the staircase. The person whose number of toffees is a prime number moved below by 5 steps if it is not occupied. Otherwise, the person remained in his original position. If the difference between the numbers of toffees with any two persons was a multiple of 10, then they swapped their positions. The person whose number of toffees is a perfect square moved 10 steps above. The person whose stair number and the number of toffees are odd numbers remained in his original position. Who among the following had the highest number of toffees?
