Study the following information carefully and answer the questions given below: Six students - P, Q, R, S, T and U - secured different marks in an examination. P secured more marks than only two students. Q secured more marks than S but he did not secure the highest marks. U secured more marks than only R. The one who secured second highest marks got 480 marks while the one who secured the second lowest marks got 350 marks. Which of the following statements is/are true regarding T as per the given information ?

Answer: B. T possibly secured 500 marks

Explanation

P secured more marks than only two students, => P is the 4th highest scorer. U secured more marks than only R, => R is the least scorer and U is the second lowest scorer. Q secured more marks than S but he did not secure the highest marks, => Q is the second highest scorer and S is the 3rd highest. Thus, T scored the highest. => T > Q > S > P > U > R Also, Q scored 480 and U scored 350 marks. $$\because$$ T scored the highest, => T possible scored 500 marks. => Ans - (B)
