RRB Junior Engineer / DMS / CMA 2019 · Question 3677 of 3719
Data structure is a systematic way of organizing and accessing data. Array An arrangement of objects, pictures, or numbers in columns and rows is called an array Stack It is a linear data structure that follows the Last in, First out principle (i.e. the last added elements are removed first). Queue It is an abstract data structure, somewhat similar to Stacks. Unlike stacks, a queue is open at both its ends. One end is always used to insert data (enqueue) and the other is used to remove data (dequeue). Linked List It is a set of dynamically allocated nodes, arranged in such a way that each node contains one value and one pointer. The pointer always points to the next member of the list. Graph It consists of a finite set of vertices(or nodes) and a set of Edges that connect a pair of nodes. Tree It is a nonlinear data structure, compared to arrays, linked lists, stacks, and queues which are linear data structures
