Explanation:- Sine Bar When a reference for a non‐square angle is required, a sine bar can be used. Basically, a sine bar is a bar of known length. When gauge blocks are placed under one end, the sine bar will tilt to a specific angle. Knowing the height differential of the two rollers in alignment with the workpiece, the angle can be calculated using the sine formula. A sine bar is specified by the distance between the centre of the two rollers, i.e. 100 mm, 200 mm, & 300 mm. the various part of sine bar is hardened before grinding & lapping. Here, L = centre distance between two rollers, H = height of the gauge block Calculation:- Given:- θ = 30° , L = 5.00” H = L × sin θ H = 5.00” × sin 30° H = 2.500”
