Answer: A. a. 60 km

Explanation

Let the total distance be x km, Distance covered by car = x × (1/2) Remaining distance = x - x/2 = x/2 Distance covered by van = x/2 × (5/6) = 5x/12 Remaining distance = x/2 - 5x/12 = x/12 According to the questionx/12 = 5 x = 5 x 12 x = 60
