The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has launched the scheme PM KUSUM for farmers with the aim to add solar and other renewable capacity of 25,750 MW by 2022. Refer to the following given statements regarding this scheme and identify the one which is not a feature of the same?

General Awareness

  1. AA. Subsidy would be provided on diesel for running diesel pumps and thus provide the farmers a reliable source of irrigation.Correct
  2. BB. Individual farmers will be supported to install standalone solar Agriculture pumps
  3. CC. The farmer will be able to use the generated solar power to meet the irrigation needs and the excess solar power will be sold to DISCOMs.
