RBI Assistant 2026 · Question 134 of 200

How many persons live between G and C? Read the given information carefully and answer the related questions: Eight persons A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H live on different floors of an eight-floor building, numbered 1 to 8 from bottom to top. One person lives on each floor but not necessarily in the given order. G lives five floors above C. As many floors are there below C’s floor as above B’s floor. Three floors are there between the floors of B and D. F lives two floors away D. E does not live above H. A doesn’t live on prime numbered floor.

  2. BTwo
  3. CThree
  4. DMore than threeCorrect
  5. EOne

Answer: D. More than three

Explanation

Final Arrangement: Clues: G lives five floors above C. As many floors are there below C’s floor as above B’s floor. Inference: Here we get two possible cases: Clues: Three floors are there between the floors of B and D. F lives two floors away D. A doesn’t live on prime numbered floor. Inference: Case 1 gets cancelled here because there is no place of A (as A doesn’t live on prime numbered floor). Clue: E does not live above H. Inference: Now, the final arrangement is: Four persons live between G and C.
