Direction: Study the following information carefully and answer the questions given below it. There are eight friends namely Babita, Ritu, Geeta, Neelam, Himani, Poonam, Sheetal and Medha celebrate their wedding . anniversary in different months of same year but not necessarily in same order. Their wedding anniversary in month viz. January, April, June and August on two different dates 9th or 21st. (i) Medha does not celebrate her wedding anniversary before Ritu. Only one person celebrate her wedding anniversary between Medha and Sheetal. Both Medha and Sheetal celebrate their wedding anniversary in month which has 30 days. Only ix one person celebrate her wedding anniversary between Medha and Poonam. w . (ii) Three persons celebrate their wedding anniversary between Geeta and Himani. Neither Himani nor Geeta celebrate thier wedding anniversary in June. Neelam celebrate her wedding anniversary in January. Babita does not celebrate her wedding anniversary in January. ww (iii) Ritu celebrate her wedding anniversary on date 21st of a month. Sheetal celebrate her wedding anniversary after Himani but before Geeta. Ritu does not celebrate her wedding anniversary in June. How many persons celebrate their wedding anniversary between Neelam and Sheetal?

Explanation

From (i) and (ii), we will have two cases and two subcases: Case 1.a. If Medha celebrate her wedding anniversary on 9th April, then Sheetal celebrate her wedding anniversary on 9th June. Poonam celebrate her wedding anniversary on 9th January. Neelam celebrate her wedding anniversary on 21st January. From (i) and (iii), this case will get discarded as there is no date left for Ritu in January and also she celebrate her wedding anniversary before Medha. Case 1.b. If Sheetal celebrate her wedding anniversary on 9th April, then Medha celebrate her wedding anniversary on 9th June. Poonam celebrate her wedding anniversary on 9th August. Neelam celebrate her wedding anniversary on 9th January. From (i) and (iii), Himani celebrate her wedding anniversary on 21st January. Ritu celebrate her wedding anniversary on 21st April. From (ii), Geeta celebrate her wedding anniversary on 21st June but this case will get discarded as Geeta does not celebrate her wedding anniversary in June.
