Puzzles
From (ii), we will have two cases: Case 1. If the one whose flat no. is 114 lives on floor no. 6, then Akash lives on floor no. 2. Vijay cannot live above Akash. So, only floor left for Vijay is floor no. 1 but this case will get discarded as there is no floor left for the one whose flat no. is 112. Case 2. If the one whose flat no. is 114 lives on floor no. 2, then Akash lives on floor no. 6. Again we will have two subcases: Vijay cannot live above Akash. So, only floor left for Vijay is either floor no. 5 or 4 and for the one whose flat no. is 112 either lives on floor no. 4 or 3. From (i), Suraj lives on floor no. 1. The one whose flat no. is 116 cannot live on floor no. 3 and 1. From (iii), Saurav lives on floor no. 3. Only floor left for the one whose flat no. is 116 is floor no. 5 in case 2.a. In case 2.b. The one whose flat no. is 116 lives either on floor no. 5 or 4. From (iv), in case 2.a. The one whose flat no. is 105 lives on floor no. 7. Case 2.b. and 2.c. will get discarded as there is no floor left for the one whose flat no. is 105.
