ibps-so 2023 · Question 129 of 323
Let the total number of runs scored by the batsman be 100n. From statement I: Number of runs scored in the last 25 matches of 100 matches be played . c o (40/100) x (100n) = 40n statement II: Using statement I alone we cannot find the percentage total runs scored by the batsman in the first 25 matches. From Number of runs scored by the batsman from the 26th match to the 75th match = (35/100) x (100n) = 35n Using statement II alone we cannot find the percentage of the total runs scored by the batsman in the first 25 matches. Using both the statements together, number of runs scored by the batsman in the first 25 matches = 100n - 35n - 40n = 25n So, using both the statements A and B together we can find the percentage of the total runs scored by the batsmen in the first 25 matches that he played.
