Answer: A. A

Explanation

ATQ, Monthly salary of ‘Rajesh’ = (8736 + 2496)/2 = Rs. 5616 e e Monthly Salary of ‘Puneet’ = 8736 – 5616 = Rs. 3120 Statement I: Ratio of monthly salary of ‘Rajesh’ and ‘puneet’, respectively = 5616:3120 = 9:5 Ratio of monthly savings of ‘Rajesh’ and ‘puneet’, respectively = 9:5 Since, each of the ratio of monthly salary of ‘Rajesh’ and ‘puneet’,and ratio of monthly savings of ‘Rajesh’ and ‘puneet’, is 9:5, respectively So, ratio of monthly expenditure of ‘Rajesh’ and ‘puneet’, respectively = 9:5 Desired percentage = [(9 – 5)/5] × 100 = 80% Therefore, r = 80 So, data in statement I alone is sufficient to answer the question. Statement II: Since, monthly savings of ‘Rajesh’ = Rs.1800 So, data in statement II alone is not sufficient to answer the question.
