Study the following information with care and then answer the questions that follow. Eight persons – Piyali, Qadir, Rukhsar, Shreyas, Tanisha, Udayan, Vasudha and Yuvraj – are seated in a single straight row at equal distances from one another. The row runs from the west to the east, the westernmost seat being reckoned as the rst seat and the easternmost as the eighth. Four of the eight face towards the north and the remaining four face towards the south.
