Statement : The lift of the building in which a city branch of a bank functions upon the rst oor has been out of service for the last three weeks, and a number of the depositors of the branch who are senior citizens have represented in writing that they are unable to climb the stairs and have had to go away without transacting their business. Courses of action : I. The branch should set up a temporary counter upon the ground oor of the building at which senior citizens and other depositors who cannot climb the stairs may be attended to until the lift is restored. II. The bank should take up with the owner of the building the repair of the lift and should have it restored to service without further delay.
