The churn held 80 litres of pure milk at the outset, unmixed with anything whatever. From that churn 16 litres of the liquid in it were drawn o and were at once lled a further 16 litres of the liquid were drawn o and were again replaced by 16 litres of water, the replaced by 16 litres of water, the whole being then stirred until it stood uniform; and from the churn so whole being stirred as before.
