E103 Directions (Q46–Q50) : The zonal o ce of a bank is manned by eight o cers of eight di erent ranks, each of whom heads one of the eight business verticals into which the work of the zone has been divided, and the seniority list circulated by the establishment section reads as set out below. Study the following information with care and then answer the questions that follow. Eight o cers – Girdharilal, Hukumchand, Lavleen, Mrityunjay, Nabanita, Omvati, Wamanrao and Zorawar – hold eight di erent designations in one and the same zonal o ce. The eight designations, taken in the descending order of seniority, are Chief General Manager, General Manager, Deputy General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Chief Manager, Senior Manager, Manager and Assistant Manager, the Chief General Manager being the senior-most of the eight and the Assistant Manager the junior-most. Each of the eight o cers heads a di erent one of the following eight verticals, namely Agri Business, Bullion Banking, Card Products, Custodial Services, Export Credit, Lease Finance, Mid Corporate and Transaction Banking. Wherever a question speaks of one o cer being senior or junior to another, the reference is to the descending order of the eight designations set out above, and wherever a question speaks of o cers ranking between two given o cers, the o cers so counted are those whose designations fall between the designations of the two given o cers in that order. (i) Wamanrao is the senior-most of the eight o cers. (ii) Zorawar is the junior-most of the eight o cers. (iii) Exactly four of the o cers rank between Nabanita and Omvati. (iv) Mrityunjay is immediately senior to Omvati. (v) Exactly four of the o cers rank between Girdharilal and Zorawar. (vi) Hukumchand is immediately senior to Lavleen. (vii) Nabanita is senior to Girdharilal. (viii) Exactly two of the o cers rank between Girdharilal and Mrityunjay. (ix) Wamanrao heads Bullion Banking and Nabanita heads Export Credit. (x) Zorawar heads Custodial Services. (xi) The o cer who heads Transaction Banking is immediately senior to Hukumchand. (xii) The o cer who heads Card Products is immediately senior to the o cer who heads Lease Finance. (xiv) The o cer who heads Lease Finance is senior to Mrityunjay.
