ibps-so 2016 · Question 384 of 394

A composite carp culture unit has approached the branch for nance, and the water quality statement led with its application records a pH of 6.1 taken at dawn from the lled pond. The liming schedule attached to the application is graded in four bands of reaction, and 6.1 falls in the mildly acidic band running from 5.6 to 6.5, for which one de nite dressing of agricultural lime is prescribed per hectare of water spread before stocking. The appraising o cer knows that mildly acidic water keeps the natural productivity of the pond low, that the liming will also settle the turbidity, sterilise the bottom and release the nutrients bound in the mud, and that the bands lying below this one attract dressings several times heavier while the band above it attracts a very small one. Only the rate for the band actually reported may be admitted in the estimate. The dose of lime prescribed for pond water at a pH of 5.6 to 6.5 is

Study the table given below with care and answer the questions that follow it. Throughout the quarter, and at every one of the ve branches alike, the ornaments tendered were assessed at the uniform rate of ₹2,500 the gram of net weight, no allowance being made at any branch for the making charges or for the stones; and every account sanctioned at a branch is to be taken to have carried the average weight and the loan-to-value ratio stated against that branch.
