  5. Ethistle Directions (Q80–Q84) : A district-level workshop upon the small savings schemes of the Government of India was held in the conference room of the lead bank of a district, and the six agents who attended it were seated at the six corners of a hexagonal table that stands in the middle of that room. Read the particulars set out below with attention and then deal with each of the questions that rest upon them. Six small savings agents – Ambalika, Bhagirath, Chhabilal, Devendrappa, Iravati and Kesavan – are seated at the six corners of a hexagonal table, one agent to each corner. Three of the six are facing towards the centre of the table and the remaining three are facing outward, that is to say away from the centre of the table. Each of the six canvasses a di erent one of the following six instruments, namely the Kisan Vikas Patra, the National Savings Certi cate, the Public Provident Fund, the Senior Citizens Savings Scheme, the Sovereign Gold Bond and the Sukanya Samriddhi Account. For an agent who is facing towards the centre of the table, the corner that lies next in the clockwise sense is the corner upon that agent's left hand and the corner that lies next in the anti-clockwise sense is the corner upon that agent's right hand; for an agent who is facing outward the two are exactly reversed, the corner next in the clockwise sense being the corner upon that agent's right hand. Since the table is a regular hexagon, every one of the six agents has exactly one other agent seated directly opposite to him or her across the table. (i) Iravati is seated second to the left of Ambalika. (ii) Ambalika is facing towards the centre of the table. (iii) Bhagirath is seated directly opposite Ambalika. (iv) Kesavan is an immediate neighbour of Bhagirath, and Kesavan is not facing towards the centre of the table. (v) Chhabilal is seated immediately to the right of Kesavan. (vi) Devendrappa is facing in a direction opposite to the direction in which Iravati is facing, that is to say, if the one is facing towards the centre then the other is facing outward. (vii) Iravati is facing towards the centre of the table. (viii) Bhagirath and Iravati are facing in one and the same direction. (ix) The agent who canvasses the Kisan Vikas Patra is seated immediately to the left of Ambalika. (x) The agent who canvasses the Public Provident Fund is seated directly opposite the agent who canvasses the National Savings Certi cate. (xi) Iravati canvasses the Sukanya Samriddhi Account. (xii) The agent who canvasses the Sovereign Gold Bond is an immediate neighbour of the agent who canvasses the Senior Citizens Savings Scheme. (xiii) Kesavan does not canvass the Sovereign Gold Bond. (xiv) Chhabilal canvasses neither the Senior Citizens Savings Scheme nor the National Savings Certi cate. (xv) The agent who canvasses the National Savings Certi cate is seated second to the left of the agent who canvasses the Sovereign Gold Bond.
