The second column gives, for each branch, the number of gold loan accounts sanctioned during the quarter; the third gives the average net weight of the ornaments pledged in a single account at that branch; and the last gives the loan-to-value ratio which the branch applied, that is to say the proportion of the assessed value of the ornaments which it in fact advanced. Throughout the quarter, and at every one of the ve branches alike, the ornaments tendered were assessed at the uniform rate of ₹2,500 the gram of net weight, no allowance being made at any branch for the making charges or for the stones; and every account sanctioned at a branch is to be taken to have carried the average weight and the loan-to-value ratio stated against that branch.
