Two trains each 560 m long are running in opposite direction on parallel tracks. Their speeds are 153 km/hr and 135 km/hr respectively. Find the time taken by the slower train to pass the driver of the faster train.

Answer: D. 7 sec

Explanation

Here the slower train is crossing only driver of faster train so here distance = length of slower train = 560 m Relative Speed = 153 + 135 = 288 × 5/18 = 80 m/s Time taken = 560/80 = 7 sec.
