ibps-rrb-os1 2019 · Question 101 of 186
Sentence Connectors
Sentence A -Due to the drought conditions, Can match with an independent clause. D, E and F are independent clauses. But they don’t fit in meaningfully as “drought” means a time when there is no rains. Hence, there is no pair here. Sentence B -There are people who Can match with an independent clause only that describes “people” due to relative pronoun “who”. E which talks of people taking leave is correct. With F, the sentence will be “there are people who be safe.” which is incorrect. B-E is the right pair. Sentence C -I will advise you to Can match with an independent clause only. “I will advise you to” should be followed with an “action” which is basically the advice. E is incorrect as we say “you” in C which can’t be referred as “they” in E. F talks of an advice, which is to be safe. Thus, C-F is the right pair.
