Answer: B. 82

Explanation

Names Given: A, B, C, D, E, and F. Face Direction: Towards the centre. 1) B is second to the right of F. 2) C sits opposite to B and is of 20 years of age. 3) E is 56 years old and sits second to the left of C. 4) D does not sit near to E (Hence, D will sit between B and F). 5) The age of D is 28 years. 6) The age of A is half the age of D (Hence, the age of A will be 28 ÷ 2 = 14 years). 7) The age of F is twice the age of C (age of C is 20 years so age of F will be 20 × 2 = 40 years). 8) The sum of ages of A and B is 32 (age of A is 14 years so age of B will be 32 – 14 = 18 years). Hence, the final arrangement will be as follows. The age of A is 14 years, the age of D is 28 years and the age of F is 40 years; their sum of ages = 14 + 28 + 40 = 82. Hence, the sum of ages of A, D, and F is 82.
