The ratio between the male and female getting the pedicure voucher is 13 : 7. The number of vouchers redeemed by males for haircut was 15 more than that of vouchers redeemed by males for a pedicure. Note: All vouchers were redeemed. How many males redeemed the pedicure voucher?

Answer: B. 104

Explanation

Let the number of pedicure vouchers be x ⇒ the number of haircut vouchers = 130 + x ⇒ x + 130 + x = 450 ⇒ x = 160. Ratio of male and female getting the pedicure voucher = 13 : 7 ∴ Number of males getting the pedicure voucher = 13/20 × 160 = 104.
