IBPS PO 2018 · Question 35 of 98
Data Interpretation
Calculation: Shirts produced in year 2015 = 4 Lakh. Percent of shirts passed the quality test = 100 – 2.25 = 97.75%. No. of shirts remain unsold after passing quality test = 400000 × 97.75% × 10% ⇒ 39,100. Now, shirts which didn't pass the quality test also remain unsold which will be equal to = 400000 × 2.25% ⇒ 9000 ⇒ Total number of shirts which remain unsold = 39,100 + 9000 = 48,100. ∴ Required number of shirts which remain unsold is 48,100. Mistake Points: We will also include the shirts that failed the quality test as they also remained unsold.
