IBPS PO 2018 · Question 21 of 98
Word Usage
Correct answer: Option 3, i.e., Only C. The word 'Trauma' means 'emotional shock' or 'damage'. The only option that uses the word 'trauma' correctly is (c). It can be re-written as: (c) The emotional shock of living in a concentration camp was a suffering that the survivors couldn't get over easily. Both (a) and (b) use the word incorrectly and therefore the sentences formed are vague and meaningless.
