(ii) A no-confidence motion can be moved only against the Council of Ministers, while a censure motion can be moved against the Council of Ministers or an individual Minister or a group of Ministers. (iii) The government must resign if a no-confidence motion is passed, but need not resign if a censure motion is passed. (iv) A censure motion can be moved in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha, whereas a no-confidence motion can be moved only in the Lok Sabha.
