APSC CCE 2022 · Question 115 of 176

By selling an article at Rs. 270, a man loses 10%. If he sells the article at Rs. 360, what is his gain percentage?

Basic Numeracy

  1. A5%
  2. B10%
  3. C15%
  4. D20%Correct

Answer: D. 20%

Explanation

Cost price = 270 / 0.9 = Rs. 300. Selling at Rs. 360 gives a profit of Rs. 60, so gain% = (60 / 300) x 100 = 20%.
